 “I’ve had four surgeries on my knee and have been told by several physicians I was going to need an artificial knee fairly soon. I’ve tried multiple products just so I could get around, including some that have since been recalled,” shares Dr. Petreccia, from Yorba Linda, California. Suffering from the results of old football injuries, Dr. Petreccia was accepting his bad knees as a part of life. It was difficult for him to enjoy some of his passions including competitive karate and ballroom dancing. “I had to stop doing karate because I couldn’t walk at the end of a tournament. I had to take a cane with me and that’s not good,” says Dr. Petreccia, adding that he ended up gaining weight when his knees prevented him from doing the activities he enjoyed.

It’s amazing!” says Dr. Petreccia, adding he hasn’t wasted time getting back to the things he loves doing — and even stepping it up a notch! “We actually do performances now, and we’re not just doing waltzes and fox trots. We’re doing salsa, bolero and tango which are really hard on the knees. We also do the cha-cha which is very high energy,” Dr. Petreccia shares excitedly, adding that in the past year he’s also been able to drop some of the unwanted weight he had gained.

plans on the horizon, including going part-time in his practice
to devote more time to his WIN business, Dr. Petreccia is
thrilled he’s found a way to dance, dream and enjoy
life again.
